Discover the Halloween orange Metaluna Mutant Super Soapie from Wave 3—a functional bubble bath bottle that doubles as a retro collectible. Learn what makes this variant special and who should add it to their shelf.
Quick answer
The Metaluna Mutant Super Soapie Wave 3 in Halloween orange is a functional 10" bubble bath bottle that nods to 1960s novelty packaging. If you love retro-style Universal Monsters collectibles that also serve a purpose, this is a fun, affordable addition.
Why this variant stands out
Super7's Super Soapie line reimagines classic monster characters as oversized bubble bath bottles. The Wave 3 Metaluna Mutant gets a special Halloween orange and green colorway that makes it pop on any shelf. Unlike standard figures, this one holds about 15 oz of soapy solution and includes a bubble wand in the screw-off top—so it's both a display piece and a functional toy.
The retro inspiration comes from 1960s novelty bubble bath bottles, giving collectors a nostalgic angle that standard action figures don't offer. At a catalog price of USD 12.80 (compared to USD 20.00), it's also a budget-friendly way to expand a Universal Monsters collection.
What to consider before buying
Because the Super Soapie is a functional bottle, the plastic is lightweight and the sculpt is simpler than a typical action figure. If you're used to highly articulated ULTIMATES! figures, the Metaluna Mutant Super Soapie will feel more like a novelty item. The bubble solution can be used, but the bottle is designed primarily for display—repeated use may wear the label or wand.
The Halloween orange colorway is a limited variant, so availability may be lower than standard releases. If you miss this wave, you might need to check secondary markets. Also, the product does not come with any extra accessories or articulation—it's a static bottle with a removable top.
How to decide if this is for you
- Display or function?: If you want a shelf piece that also works as a bubble bath bottle, this Super Soapie delivers. If you only care about a static display figure, it works fine—but don't expect articulation or accessories.
- Colorway preference: The Halloween orange variant is a limited run. If you're a completionist or love seasonal themes, grab it when you see it. For standard collectors, the regular Metaluna Mutant colorway may be easier to find.
- Budget and value: At USD 12.80 (catalog price), it's an affordable entry point into Super Soapies. The larger size (10 inches) and functional bubble wand add perceived value compared to a basic vinyl figure at a similar price. Check the current stock—limited variants sell out quickly.
