Exploring the Different Types of GPK Figures

Super7 offers Garbage Pail Kids in several distinct lines, each with its own charm. The most accessible are the ReAction figures, which are 3.75-inch scale with retro packaging reminiscent of the 1980s. These figures feature multiple points of articulation and come with accessories that often reference the character's card art. For example, you might find a figure like Adam Bomb with a removable head or a character with a unique prop.

For those who prefer larger displays, the SuperSize line offers 5-inch figures with more detail and presence. There are also Micro Vinyl figures, which are smaller, stylized versions that are perfect for desk displays or collecting in bulk. Each line offers a different experience, so you can choose based on your space and budget. If you're a fan of the classic ReAction aesthetic, you can also check out other Super7 lines like the Visionaries ReAction+ Wave 01 - Leoric for a similar retro vibe.

Key Characters and Waves to Look For

The Garbage Pail Kids universe is vast, with hundreds of characters from the original card series. Super7 has been releasing waves that feature some of the most iconic and beloved characters. From the original series, you'll find classics like Adam Bomb, Blasted Billy, and Jolly Jill. Newer waves often include fan-favorites and deep cuts, ensuring there's something for every fan.

When starting your collection, focus on characters that resonate with you personally. If you're a completionist, you might aim to collect entire waves. Keep an eye out for exclusive releases, such as convention exclusives or retailer-specific variants, which can be rarer and more valuable. For example, the Super7 T-Shirt - Reaper might be a fun addition to your GPK merch collection, though it's not a figure.

Displaying and Caring for Your GPK Collection

Once you've started your collection, you'll want to display it proudly. GPK figures look great on shelves, desks, or in display cases. Consider grouping them by wave or character theme for a cohesive look. If you have the room, a dedicated display shelf with lighting can make your collection pop. For smaller figures like Micro Vinyls, a shadow box or small shelf can work well.

Caring for your figures is straightforward: keep them away from direct sunlight to prevent fading, and dust them regularly with a soft cloth. If you're storing them, use acid-free boxes and keep them in a cool, dry place. For more detailed care tips, check out our guide on cleaning vintage Super7 figures.
