Compare the first two Visionaries ReAction+ figures from Super7: Leoric of the Spectral Knights and Darkstorm of the Darkling Lords. We break down the tradeoffs to help you choose.
Quick answer
Both Leoric and Darkstorm are 4-inch scale ReAction+ figures with 12 points of articulation and multiple accessories, recreating the 1987 Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light look. Leoric leads the Spectral Knights, while Darkstorm commands the Darkling Lords. Your choice comes down to which side of Prysmos you want to display.
What makes the ReAction+ line different
Super7's ReAction+ figures upgrade the classic 5-point retro style with 12 points of articulation, allowing more dynamic poses while keeping the vintage aesthetic. Both Leoric and Darkstorm are part of Wave 01, meaning they share the same body engineering and scale, so they mix seamlessly on a shelf. The tradeoff is that the extra articulation points are still limited compared to modern Legends-style figures, so don't expect extreme action poses.
Tradeoffs at a glance
- Hero vs villain theme: Leoric represents the classic good-guy knight, while Darkstorm is the menacing dark sorcerer. Your preference for the Spectral Knights or Darkling Lords will drive the choice. If you only want one, pick the character whose allegiance you favor.
- Identical articulation and scale: Both figures share the same 12-point articulation and 4-inch scale. There is no difference in poseability or shelf presence. The decision is purely about character design and accessories, not build quality.
- Price difference: Leoric is listed at USD 16.00 (compare at USD 25.00), while Darkstorm is USD 15.00 (compare at USD 25.00). The $1 gap is negligible. Price shouldn't be a deciding factor; both offer similar value.
Figure facts
- Visionaries ReAction+ Wave 01 - Leoric: Leoric is the leader of the Spectral Knights, defending Prysmos from the Darkling Lords. This 4” scale figure has 12 points of articulation and comes with accessories. Leoric's heroic design and included gear let you recreate iconic scenes from the cartoon. The articulation makes him more display-friendly than a standard retro figure.
- Visionaries ReAction+ Wave 01 - Darkstorm: Darkstorm is the corrupt leader of the Darkling Lords, seeking to imprison the power of the Spectral Knights. This 4” scale figure has 12 points of articulation and comes with accessories. Darkstorm's villainous look and accessories give collectors a clear antagonist to pair with Leoric. The same articulation means he can stand or pose alongside any other ReAction+ figure.
