Decide between the Jackalman single figure and the Mumm-Ra's Tomb 2-Pack. Compare articulation, display options, and value to pick the right ThunderCats vintage figure.
Quick Answer
Choose the Mumm-Ra's Tomb 2-Pack if you want both versions of the villain in one display piece; pick the Jackalman figure if you're focused on completing the Mutant lineup or prefer a single, lower-cost addition.
Why the 2-Pack Stands Out
The Mumm-Ra's Tomb 2-Pack gives you two distinct versions of the same character: the muscle-bound Ever-Living Mumm-Ra and the original Mummy Mumm-Ra. That means you can display both iconic looks without tracking down separate releases.
The themed box includes a spinning dial that lets you rotate the 5.5-inch articulated figures through clear blisters. If you prefer keeping figures mint in box, this set is designed to be enjoyed without removing them.
Jackalman's Role in the Line
Jackalman is a key villain from the ThunderCats animated series, leading the Mutants of Plun-Darr. His vintage-style figure captures that classic 1980s muscle-bound look, making him a natural fit for collectors who grew up with the show.
He comes carded on a blister pack, which is great for carded collectors. If you're building out the Mutant roster or want a more affordable entry point, this single figure is the practical choice.
Decision Rules: Which One to Buy
- Choose the 2-Pack if...: You want both Mumm-Ra versions without hunting for a second release, or you plan to keep figures boxed and appreciate the spinning display feature. Check if the box's spinning dial works smoothly with the figures inside before finalizing your purchase.
- Choose Jackalman if...: You're focused on completing the Mutant lineup, prefer a lower-cost single figure, or you like to display figures loose and want a carded option that you can open. Verify the cardback condition if you're a mint-in-box collector, since the packaging is part of the appeal.
- Budget consideration: The 2-Pack is priced higher than the single Jackalman figure, reflecting the extra character and display features. If budget is tight, start with Jackalman and add the 2-Pack later. Set a spending limit before browsing to avoid impulse adds.
