Category: Comparisons
Compare the Super7 Super Cycles Bat Boy and Misfits Fiend trikes based on design, features, and collectibility to find the right vintage-style wind-up toy for your collection.
Quick answer
Choose the Super7 Super Cycles Bat Boy if you want a whimsical, earthy-brown character with a blue trike; choose the Misfits Fiend if you prefer a slick black-and-red look with a menacing vibe.
Design and character appeal
The Bat Boy Super Cycle features an original character design from Super7’s Brian Flynn, inspired by vintage-style plastic and tin wind-up tricycle toys. The earthy-brown soft vinyl Bat Boy sits on a blue trike with colorful wheels, giving it a playful, storybook feel.
The Misfits Fiend Super Cycle, on the other hand, brings a darker, rock-and-roll edge. The soft vinyl Fiend is dressed in black and rides a slick red trike with colorful wheels, ready to do donuts on a neighbor’s front lawn. It’s a more rebellious choice for fans of the Misfits aesthetic.
Functionality and play value
Both trikes feature a functioning bell above the back tire and an internal wind-up mechanism that drives the tricycle and rings the bell. This means you get the same interactive play experience whether you choose Bat Boy or Fiend.
The main difference is purely visual: Bat Boy’s blue trike feels more classic and innocent, while Fiend’s red trike adds a sense of speed and mischief. If you plan to display them, the color contrast with your existing collection might be the deciding factor.
Price and value
Both Super Cycles are priced similarly, with the Bat Boy at USD 42.90 (compare at USD 65.00) and the Fiend at USD 42.60 (compare at USD 60.00). The slight price difference is negligible, so your choice should come down to which character and color scheme you prefer.
Given that both are limited collectible items, the long-term value may depend on the popularity of the character. Misfits fans will likely gravitate toward the Fiend, while collectors who appreciate original Super7 designs may prefer Bat Boy.
