Zartan Jungle Trap vs Snake Eyes Ninja Force: Which G.I. Joe Figure Wins?

Quick answer

Choose G.I. Joe ULTIMATES! Zartan (Jungle Trap) if you want a large, highly detailed centerpiece inspired by the animated series. Choose ReAction+ Snake Eyes (Ninja Force) if you prefer a smaller, ninja-themed figure with solid articulation at a lower price.

Scale and display footprint

The most obvious difference is size. Zartan is a 7-inch scale ULTIMATES! figure, while Snake Eyes is a ReAction+ figure, which is smaller. That means Zartan will command more shelf space and stand out in a mixed display, while Snake Eyes fits neatly into tighter spots or alongside other ReAction+ figures.

If you already collect 7-inch figures, Zartan will scale naturally with them. If your collection is mostly 3.75-inch or ReAction-style, Snake Eyes will blend in better. Neither is inherently better—it depends on the shelf you're building.

Articulation and poseability

Zartan is described as highly articulated, which suggests plenty of posing options for dynamic martial arts or snake-charmer stances. Snake Eyes has 12 points of articulation, a solid count for a figure of its size. More articulation generally means more display flexibility, but it can also make a figure feel looser over time if not handled carefully.

Consider how you display your figures: if you like action poses, Zartan's articulation likely gives you more range. If you prefer neutral or simple stances, Snake Eyes' 12 points are more than enough.

Sculpt detail and paint

Zartan features an intricate sculpt and premium paint detailing, according to the catalog. That extra detail is a big part of the ULTIMATES! appeal—it's meant to look impressive on a shelf. Snake Eyes, as a ReAction+ figure, is simpler by design, though it still captures the ninja look with the red Arashikage symbol.

If you value realistic textures and fine paintwork, Zartan is the stronger choice. If you prefer a clean, retro-inspired aesthetic, Snake Eyes fits that bill.

Trade-offs to weigh

• Price vs. presence: Zartan costs more but delivers a larger, more detailed figure. Snake Eyes is more affordable but smaller and simpler. Decide whether your budget prioritizes a statement piece or a value pick.
• Articulation vs. simplicity: Zartan's high articulation supports dynamic poses; Snake Eyes' 12 points are adequate but less extensive. If you frequently repose figures, lean toward Zartan.
• Display compatibility: Zartan fits 7-inch scale collections; Snake Eyes fits ReAction+ and smaller-scale displays. Check your existing shelf scale before committing.
